The four-weekly flight service, launching on 3 November 2026, adds Ahmedabad to Vietnam Airlines’ Indian network, creating fresh prospects for leisure, business and MICE travel from Gujarat.
Travel agents in Gujarat have a new international route to add to their offerings! Vietnam Airlines is introducing four weekly flights between Ahmedabad and Hanoi from 3 November 2026, operating every Tuesday, Thursday, Saturday and Sunday. The Ahmedabad – Hanoi direct connection marks the airline’s entry into its fifth Indian station, expanding access to Vietnam for travellers from Gujarat and neighbouring markets.

Hanoi is a lovely starting point for exploring Vietnam, while onward connections through Vietnam Airlines’ domestic and international network offer scope to develop multi-destination itineraries.
For travel businesses, the Ahmedabad – Hanoi direct connection presents an opportunity to tap into Gujarat’s growing outbound travel market. Agents can explore customised holidays, business travel packages and group itineraries, while leveraging the new route to cater to customers seeking convenient access to Vietnam. The airline also expects the service to support stronger tourism, trade and business exchanges between the two countries.
“Ahmedabad and Gujarat represent a dynamic market with strong economic, business and tourism potential,” said Nguyen Trung Hieu, Country Manager, India, Vietnam Airlines, highlighting the airline’s confidence in the region. Abhishek Goyal, Executive Director and CEO of Aeroprime Group, the airline’s Passenger General Sales Agent in India, also pointed to Gujarat’s business community, outbound travel demand and potential for leisure and MICE tourism.
Ahmedabad joins Delhi, Mumbai, Hyderabad and Bengaluru in Vietnam Airlines’ Indian network. The expansion comes amid growing air traffic between India and Vietnam, with more than 4,400 scheduled flights and nearly 820,400 passengers recorded between the countries in the first six months of 2026, according to the Civil Aviation Authority of Vietnam.
