Plan fly-cruise holidays with StarDream Cruises and Taiwan Tourism as Taiwan strengthens its appeal among Indian travellers, combining direct air connectivity from Delhi with multi-country cruise itineraries across Northeast Asia.
Indian travellers looking for multi-destination holidays can explore new possibilities as StarDream Cruises partners with the Taiwan Tourism Administration (TTA) to promote fly-cruise packages in India. The collaboration comes ahead of EVA Air’s scheduled launch of direct flights between Delhi and Taipei on December 1, 2026, creating fresh opportunities to combine a Taiwanese holiday with cruise journeys across Japan and South Korea.
The partnership aims to position Taiwan as both a holiday destination and a gateway to Northeast Asia. Travellers can experience its cultural attractions, vibrant cities, culinary offerings and natural landscapes before embarking on a cruise covering multiple destinations. For Indian travel advisors and tour operators, this creates scope to develop distinctive packages for families, couples and premium travellers seeking experience-led holidays.
Paul Shih, Director of the Taiwan Tourism Administration’s Singapore Office, highlighted India’s potential as a growing source market. He noted that cruise tourism can generate economic benefits beyond passenger visits, supporting local businesses, restaurants, transport operators, retailers and artisans. Industry research cited by TTA also indicates that more than 60% of cruise passengers revisit destinations they first discover through cruising.
Naresh Rawal, Senior Vice President – India & Middle East at StarDream Cruises, said the upcoming direct air link presents an opportunity to develop Taiwan as a gateway for Indian fly-cruise travellers. Combining flights with cruise itineraries could allow visitors to discover several countries in one holiday.
The initiative was also highlighted at TTA’s recent tourism promotion event in New Delhi, which brought together Indian travel industry representatives, media and six supplier partners, including four Taiwanese destination management companies, StarDream Cruises and EVA Air. The event explored opportunities for closer industry collaboration.
Another attraction for international travellers is TTA’s complimentary half-day transit tour service for eligible passengers. Depending on flight schedules and applicable entry requirements, visitors may join guided bus tours or explore independently to experience Taiwanese culture, neighbourhoods and cuisine during their transit.
With improved air connectivity and cruise options, plan fly-cruise holidays with StarDream Cruises and Taiwan Tourism offers travel agents an opportunity to diversify outbound holiday products and introduce Indian travellers to a wider Northeast Asian experience.
